He is proficient in basic urological surgeries such as TURP, TURBT, URSL, PCNL, Mini Perc PCNL, and advanced techniques including HOLEP, Thulium vaporesection, RIRS, laparoscopic nephrectomies, and pyeloplasty. In Uro-Oncology, he performs radical cystectomy with neobladder reconstruction, radical prostatectomy, and nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma. His reconstructive work includes urethroplasty and penile implantation surgeries.
For pediatric patients, he conducts anti-reflux surgeries and posterior urethral valve fulgurations. In female urology, he specializes in TVT, TOT, and laparoscopic colposuspension. His renal transplantation experience includes live transplants, laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, and cadaveric kidney retrieval. He began his medical career as a junior resident in the Department of General Surgery at KVGMCH in Mangaluru, Karnataka, where he served for three years.Following this, he gained further experience as a senior resident in the Department of Urology at Lourdes Hospital in Kochi, Kerala, for three years.
He has actively engaged in numerous prestigious conferences and workshops to advance his knowledge and expertise. His participation includes the Karnataka State Surgical Society Annual Conferences in 2012, 2013, and 2016, as well as the All India Surgical Society Annual Conferences in 2012 and 2016.
In 2018, he was a delegate at the NEURO VESICON state-level conference in Kochi and the UAKON state-level annual conference in Thrissur, Kerala. In 2019, he participated in the PROF H S BHAT mid-term workshop in Kottayam, Kerala, and the USI MOCK EXAM in Chennai and Coimbatore.
Throughout his training, he delivered 25 seminars, presented 20 cases, and conducted weekly ward case presentations. He also participated in journal clubs, presenting 10 articles on new research and developments.
In urology, he presented 50 seminars, discussed 25 cases, and showcased cases at Madras Urological Society meetings. Additionally, he presented 20 journal articles in urology journal clubs.
He has extensive experience in academic instruction, delivering lectures to undergraduate, postgraduate, nursing, and PhD students. His focus includes teaching history taking, clinical examination, and decision-making, and he has contributed to the administration of examinations for both undergraduates and postgraduates.
He has researched key topics such as patient outcomes with diabetic foot ulcer dressings, colchicine’s effectiveness in preventing urethral stricture recurrence, and rare complications after partial nephrectomy. His work on IgG-4 related kidney disease has been published in the Indian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology.
